Greg Gordon is a professor of environmental studies at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He enlisted the help of undergraduate students in a class called “Parks, Forest, Wildlife” for this reading list, most of whom are juniors and seniors majoring in Environmental Studies and Sciences. This course combines academic and experiential education, whereby the students undertake excursions to nearby national forests and state parks to conduct service projects such as trail maintenance.
